Fringe benefits¶

Important

While basic benefits are provided during probation, access to fringe benefits is granted after completion of the probationary period. After this initial phase, we look forward to welcoming you to our full benefits program.

Hardware benefits¶

As mentioned in the Operating systems chapter, we’re using Apple-branded hardware. Thus you’ll get the following hardware benefits:

An iPhone ~ every 3 years
A MacBook ~ every 3 years

Mobile phone subscription¶

Every employee can transfer his/her mobile phone contract to our business contract at Swisscom.

Parking¶

We’ve a pool of parking spaces in the Brühltor parking space.

Important

Please note the following guidelines:

The pool is limited
Availability is on a «first come, first served» basis
You’ve to request a personal parking card at the back office
You’ve to book a parking space in advance in our booking system
You can only have one concurrent reservation (current & future combined) at a time

Vouchers¶

On your annual celebration day, for Christmas, and for your wedding, you can choose a voucher of an online store of your choice:

Trainee: CHF 100
Employee: CHF 200
Let’s call it management: CHF 500

Please note there are 2 different rules for the tax free declaration amount in place:

The federal taxes allow a tax free delaration of CHF 500 per event, as described in the Wegleitung zum Ausfüllen des Lohnausweises bzw. der Rentenbescheinigung (Jan 18):

72: Übliche Weihnachts-, Geburtstags- und ähnliche Naturalgeschenke bis CHF 500 pro Ereignis. Bei solchen Naturalgeschenken, die diesen Betrag übersteigen, ist der ganze Betrag anzugeben (Ziffer 2.3 des Lohnausweises)
The AHV also allow a tax free declaration, but for the AHV it’s CHF 500 per year, as described in the Lohnbeiträge an die AHV, die IV und die EO (Jan 19):

11 o: Naturalgeschenke, die weniger als 500 Franken im Jahr ausmachen;
Also important, this only works for vouchers and not for cash, according to Fragen und Antworten zum Lohnausweis 2018/2019:

Von der Deklarationspflicht ausgenommen sind nur Naturalgeschenke, nicht jedoch Geldgeschenke. Gutscheine sind Naturalgeschenken gleichgestellt.
