EnpassΒΆ

AboutΒΆ

For our shared passwords, we’re using the Enpass password manager.

Enpass is a freemium product, and it’s free for basic usage. However, if you want to use more than one vault or store more than 20 passwords on your iOS client, then you need to upgrade to Enpass premium. More about that can be found on the Enpass Pricing site.

ConfigureΒΆ

Download and install Enpass from the Enpass website or the AppStore (Mac & iOS). Then follow these steps:

  • Create a new empty primary (i.e. personal) vault with a password of your choice

  • Create a new vault with the name confirm

  • Use the vault password which we’ve secretly shared (or not yet) with you

  • Store the vault password in your primary vault

  • Setup the sync with the WebDAV URL https://webdav.confirm.ch/ and your LDAP credentials

Hint

You can’t initially restore the Enpass vault from WebDAV, as restore (i.e. backup file) isn’t the same as synchronization (sync vault). You need to have a local vault first, and then you can setup synchronization afterwards.

Important

Your local vault password is identical with the one of sync vault. Thus, we all need to share the same vault password and you can’t choose a different one.
