Your coach

You should’ve already met your personal coach. The coach is your personal buddy, which helps you during your onboarding at confirm IT solutions. Don’t hesitate to ask and ping your coach whenever you’ve a question.

If everything works according to plan, the coach should be at your service during the whole onboarding process. However, we’re a small company and sometimes things won’t work as planned, people can be busy, unavailable and forgetful sometimes.

While this isn’t a problem for existing colleagues, it can be tricky for you as a new team member. To counter these issues, we «invented» these docs to improve recruiting and onboarding.

Starting a new career in a new workplace can be intimidating. In the past, we expected people to figure things out for themselves with some coaching. Then, as we grew as a company, we realized this wasn’t a very clever solution. People feel lost, stressed, and compelled to ask even the most obvious questions.

So in June 2022, we decided to move away from this ludicrous idea and introduced the Do-it-yourself onboarding plan. These documents are designed to share with you the information that you need to know, especially in your first days.

Some of these things are objective, such as your account credentials, recurring meetings, or links to important documents. Nevertheless, there are also subjective things to keep in mind, such as cultural aspects. For instance, you might want to know the preferred communication methods, the dress code, our principles, and the way to interact with colleagues. Knowing this information in advance can help you make sure that you fit in with the team and have a successful start.

You’re not in a rush, you can take your time. No worries, nobody expects anything productive from you in the first couple of days ;)

We’re not perfect

Of course, we’re not perfect – even if we act sometimes like smart asses ;) Hell no, we’re far from perfect, but we always want to go the extra mile (we’ll get into that later).

Said that, if you find an error or something you think we can improve in these docs, just let us know. We love continuos improvements and these docs are no exception. With every onboarding process, we can improve our doing bit by bit.
