Developer vs. system engineer

- What is the role of an engineer (aka systems engineer)?
- What are the differences between a developer and an engineer?

System & application architecture
---------------------------------

Whenever you're accessing a web application, there are several technical things involved. Usually in IT, there are some schematics & diagrams which describe the architecture and functionality of such an application.

Please read and understand the following questions:

- Where exactly is the web application running?
- What is required to run a web application?
- What is required to access the web application?
- How does the communication with the web application work?
- How is it that you can access a web application *far away* from your home computer or your mobile phone?
- Where is the data generated through the web application (e.g. blog post) stored?

    Take 1 hour to research and answer the questions.
    We don't expect any highly detailed answers, just a broad example is enough.
    Create a simple drawing of how a web application works, and which includes all the answers to the questions above.

    When you finished your drawing, present & dicuss it with your coach.
